Known as the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan when it was created in 1807, the district is divided into two divisions.
The Northern Division consists of Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Bay, Cheboygan,
Clare, Crawford, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Iosco, Isabella, Midland, Mondomorency, Ogenaw,
Oscoda, Otseg, Presque Isle, Roscommon, Saginaw, and Tuscola counties. The court sits at Bay City.
The Southern Division consists of Genesee, Jackson, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Monroe, Oakland, Saint Clair, Sanilac, Shiawassee, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties. The court sits at Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint and Port Huron. |
