Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, Cincinnati, Ohio, are 25 files containing photocopy of Justice Harlan's Lectures on Constitutional Law, dated from 14 Oct 1897 - 30 Oct 1898. George Johannes to Hon. John Marshal Harlan II, October 21, 1955. Attorney Johannes sent "letter press" copies of Justice Harlan's lectures to his grandson. Johannes and a fellow student "took down, in shorthand, the lectures . . . after checking our notes transcribed the lectures on a typewriter. This was before carbon paper came into general use for typewriting, and we made one copy of our transcript by 'letter press' on Japanese paper."
