Charles M. Walker Appointed Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee

The United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit announces the appointment of Charles M. Walker as United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee at Nashville. Judge Walker took the oath of office on July 27, 2016, succeeding Bankruptcy Judge Keith M. Lundin who retired on June 16, 2016. Judge Walker joins Chief Bankruptcy Judge Marian F. Harrison and Judge Randal S. Mashburn on the bench in the Middle District of Tennessee.

Since 2002, Judge Walker served as a trial attorney in the Office of the United States Trustee. He also currently serves as a Colonel in the Kentucky Air National Guard. Judge Walker received a Bachelor of Aviation Management from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from The John Marshall Law School.

Judge Walker is a former Director of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute and Family & Children’s Service in Nashville. He was the 2015 recipient of the Major General Robert I. Gruber Excellence in Teaching Award, which is awarded by the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General School, recognizing the most exceptional reserve military law instructor. He is a member of the Napier-Looby Bar Association.
